God's Abundance and Provision:
Unpacking Psalm 65:11-13
As a Christian, Psalm 65 has a huge impact in my Christian faith. I've read and applied it to my and there were attendant testimonies in each of the years.
Indeed, this scripture is a powerful expression of gratitude and praise, highlighting God's goodness and provision. In verses 11-13, we find a beautiful description of God's abundance and care. Let's dive into these verses and explore their significance.
The Crown of Goodness
"You crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance." (Psalm 65:11)
God's goodness is not limited to specific moments or seasons. Instead, He crowns the entire year with His kindness and favor. The phrase "paths drip with abundance" paints a vivid picture of God's overflowing blessings.
Transforming the Wilderness
"The pastures of the wilderness overflow, and the hills gird themselves with joy." (Psalm 65:12)
God transforms even the most barren areas into fertile ground. The wilderness, once devoid of life, now overflows with provision and nourishment. The hills, symbolizing strength and stability, rejoice in God's presence.
Joyful Worship
"The meadows are clothed with flocks, and the valleys are covered with grain; they shout for joy, they also sing." (Psalm 65:13)
God's abundance brings joy and worship. The meadows, once empty, now teem with life. The valleys, once low and barren, are filled with grain. In response, creation bursts into joyful song.

Testimonies
For many years, I've always believed God to crown my year with His goodness, especially when I've labored from January to December. In addition to the prayers according to Psalm 65:11-13, I've also prayed specifically that celebrating each year's Christmas must be remarkable in my life and family.
God in His infinite mercy has answered my prayers each year with better testimonies than the previous years.
This mantra was introduced to my church and it has always worked for us.
As testimonies in my life, there were times of this year our Federal Government was kind enough to pay our pension arrears.
This cascaded into the church affairs where I pastor. We have always been blessed each year we keyed into these scriptures.
At one time, God the great Provider made a way for us to offset some longstanding financial commitment, that was turning to an embarrassment.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We thank You for Your goodness and abundance in our lives. Help us recognize Your blessings and trust in Your provision. May our hearts overflow with joy and gratitude, and may our lives reflect Your transformative power.
