PRAYER FOR NIGERIA PROJECT (2ND EDITION)


THEME: TIME TO BREAK YOKES OF VASSALITY OVER NIGERIA


TOPIC: UPROOTING MOUNT OF CORRUPTION


TEXTS: 2ND KINGS 23:13


INTRODUCTION 


Calvary greetings to our prayer partners and it is my prayers that none of us shall be weary nor be discouraged - we will not look back after putting our hands on the plow. 

In God's strength, we will battle until a new nation emerges, in Jesus name. 


Sometime in the 70s, I had an opportunity to write an essay on Corruption in Nigeria. 

My analysis or conclusion of the essay exempted Nigeria from corruption, but my examiner posited that there was 10% incursion of corruption in Nigeria.


It is unfortunate that the same corruption has grown from timid a 10% to an endemic and monstrous dimension. 


We are witnesses to the dearing approach of corrupt practioneers in Nigeria - anything can be stolen in Nigeria; no amount is too intimidating to be stolen. 


It is also unfortunate that this corruption has spread to other areas of our daily practices in Nigeria - judiciary, academia, Medicare, security etc... Name it, corruption is enthroned and worshipped. 


Friends and families, it is obvious that this practice is being controlled by some satanic spirits and it is high time we cast them out and enthrone the Prince of Peace - the Righteous King, Jesus Christ. 


From the text above, King Solomon deliberately erected altars for each idol controlling the wave of corruption in the land of Israel, hence Mount of Corruption.


By His grace, every spirit controlling corruption in Nigeria shall be revealed, located and demolished, in Jesus name. 


Remember, 'with God all things are possible' - Lk 1:37.

 

PRAYERS


1. Deliverer of mankind and nations, You are highly lifted up and exalted because at sundry times, You promised us a righteous nation - Nigeria. 


2. Holy Father, have mercy on everyone responsible for the decay and/or rot in Nigeria of today.


3. Father, we call upon Your name to expose every idol representing each branch of corruption in Nigeria, in Jesus name. 


4. Father, in unity, we bind and cast out, the spirit of Ashteroth, the abomination of Zidonians - 

  • we wipe off with the blood of Jesus the resultant worship of Ashteroth in Nigeria - be it war, fake love and beauty, fertility or cultural identity, in Jesus name (Judg 2:13, 3:7, 1st Sam 31:10). 


5. Father, in unity, we bind and cast out of Nigeria, the spirit of Chemosh, the abomination of Moabites, in Jesus name (Judg 11:24, 1st Kg 11:7, Jer 48:46)


  • this spirit represents war and destruction - we therefore wipe off replica of such spirit causing wars and destruction in Nigeria, with the blood of Jesus. 


  1. Chemosh accepts worship with the blood of children - we cancel such replica in Nigeria with the blood of Jesus. 


6. Father, in unity, we bind and cast out the spirit of Milcon, the abomination of Ammon from Nigerian space, in Jesus name. (1st Kg 11:5, Jer 49:1).


7. Father, in unity, we bind and cast out from Nigeria, the spirit of FESTAC '77:

  • in 1975, the then Head of State, General Gowon said, "Nigeria's problem is not money but how to spend it''.
  • Unfortunately, Satan heard this careless statement and leveraged on it. Today, spirit of wastage has taken over our nation. 
  • Father, in unity, we bind and cast out the spirit wastage in Jesus name (Matt 25:14-30).


8. Father, remember Nigeria for good and redeem Your nation from the hands of spirit of  wastage, in Jesus name (Ex 6:6-7, Jer 31:11). 


9. Father, we pray that You will raise Intercessors who will continue to travail until a new nation is born, in Jesus name (Ezek 22:30, 1st Tim 2:1-2).


10. Father, we plead the blood of Jesus over every space in Nigeria. Let there be a total turn around, in Jesus name.  


11. Father, I pray for all the Prayer for Nigeria Project partners: 

  • they will be the first partakers of Your intervention (2nd Tim 2:6). 
  • You will crown their year with Your goodness, in Jesus name (Ps 65:11-13). 


CONCLUSION


  • From the depth of my heart, I thank every partner who keyed into this project. You will not loose your rewards, in Jesus name.
