PRAYER FOR NIGERIA PROJECT (2ND EDITION)
THEME: TIME TO BREAK YOKES OF VASSALITY OVER NIGERIA
PRAYER FOCUS: PRAYER FOR MERCY
TEXTS: LEVITICUS 26:14-46, LAMENTATIONS 3:22-23, ISAIAH 59:1-3
Grace and peace UNLIMITED be upon every partner of this divine project.
It is my sincere prayers that every of your secret trials or travails turn to public testimony, in Jesus name.
Our next prayer focus shall be to seek for God's mercy. The importance of divine mercy over a life or land can never be overemphasized.
This is more so that innocent souls are punished as a result of errors or sins of wicked leaders, parents and or even ourselves.
I am aware that this is not a class of Theological exegesis, so I will want to make my write up as simple as possible.
Therefore our prayers shall dwell on the following sub-topics:
- Mercy over sins of past or present leaders and
- Mercy over sins of the Church. But for convenience, prayers for the Church will be handled tomorrow, 18th August.
PRAYERS
(1) Father, I pray for your mercy as a result of the sins of our leaders (past or present) causing pains, sorrow, anguish, afflictions or tribulations, in our land.
(2) Merciful Father, have mercy upon Nigeria for any sin of adultery committed by past or present King David.
Please, with the blood of Jesus, roll away this judgment, in Jesus name.
(3) Father, for any sin of census committed by any past or present King David in Nigeria, please have mercy and put an urgent end to inexplicable deaths or consequences in our land, in Jesus name (2nd Sam 24:1-15).
(4) For any division in our land because our past or present King David who killed innocent Uriahs, please have mercy and put an urgent end to consequent pains upon Nigerians, in Jesus name (2nd Sam 12:10-14).
(5) Father, any economic calamity in our country as a result of our King Solomon's avarice and insatiable thirst for wasteful opulence, please have mercy, in Jesus name (Deut 17:14-20).
(6) Father, please for every sin of idolatry committed by our Kings Rehoboam that has caused bitter polarization in Nigeria, please have mercy and restore peace and unity, in Jesus name - (1st Kg 12: 1 - 24).
(7) For any sin of Kings Jeroboam causing perpetual anger of God and judgment on Nigeria, please have mercy, in Jesus name (1st Kg 12:26-33).
(8) Father, for the sins of our past or present kings causing loss of divine protection in Nigeria, please have mercy, in Jesus name (2nd Kg 10:32-33, 13:3-7).
(9) Father, any sin of our kings negating or canceling manifestation of prophecies in Nigeria, please blot away with the blood of Jesus (2nd Kg 3, Amos 7:9-11).
(10) Father, with the blood of Jesus, cleanse our land of any sin of our kings that has caused our heavens to be shut like brass and the earth like iron, in Jesus name (Deut 28:23).
(11) Father, in the name of Jesus, please forgive us for Your judgment over Nigeria as a result of the sins of our King Sauls' disobedience. (1st Sam 15:22-23).
(12) Father, please forgive me for any sin in my life that has contributed to Your judgment upon Nigeria. Have mercy on me, in Jesus name.
Father, I give You praise because of Your mercy that endures forever and because it is time to show Nigeria mercy, Nigeria will fulfill destiny, in Jesus name.
CONCLUSION
- From the depth of my heart, I thank every partner who keyed into this project. You will not loose your rewards, in Jesus name.
