Text: Psalms 51
Prayer focus: Forgiveness of sins
Greetings in Jesus name.
I appreciate your commitment to this vision, which will
enthrone God’s righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost in Nigeria.
Our prayers today shall dwell on ‘Forgiveness of sins’.
Because we are all Christians, there won’t be any need to do
a teaching on this.
It is certain that we are familiar with several instances
when God’s people were punished because of sins. Sin and its consequences are
very real.
In our theme scripture, 2nd Kings 3, Prophet
Elisha scorned the King of Israel because of his cruelty and affinity for
wickedness. This king was accused of:
(i)
Personal sins and
(ii)
National sins.
From my knowledge of the scripture, God resents national
sins, so badly and the consequences are grievous.
In addition, the king’s heavens were shut, which ultimately
allowed _offering of indignation_ to cancel Prophet Elisha’s prophecy in his
mission.
This is one of the reasons why individual prayers and
prayers for nations don’t work most times.
Our heavens and heavens of Nigeria must be opened at this
time for a divine visitation with enduring testimonies.
Prayer:
Let’s ask God for forgiveness over any/all unconfessed sin(s)
in our lives.
Remember, God sees and knows all things we do in the secret.
Let not any sin(s) be a stumbling block to our breakthrough
in this project.

Jesus name.
