Calvary greetings in Jesus name.

Many a times, we complain of God delaying in bringing to pass prophecies He had given through His prophets, without looking into what could have been responsible for the delay.

Reading the story of John’s conception in Luke chapter 1, the striking issue I saw was the ‘silence’ enforced on the parties:

a.     Luke 1: 20:- Zachariah was dumb. Though the angel punished him for his unbelief, one could also assumed that he would have been careless with the good news, after several years of marriage that did not produce a child. Of course who would not be excited about this divine visitation?

b.     vs 23. Elizabeth his wife, remained in seclusion for five (good) months. She took out time to consolidate the blessing of God, appreciating and blessing God;

c.      vs. 36: Mary, the mother of the Lord Jesus Christ as close as she was to her relation, Elizabeth did not know of this good news until the pregnancy was 6 months old;

d.     Lord Jesus Christ gave this charge of ‘silence’ at various times during his ministry here on earth (i) during the wedding feast (John 2:4), healing of the leper (Mat 8: 4), and (iii) Mark 5: 43.

If Jesus who had (and still has) dominion over wicked powers, did not ‘run his mouth’ and did not allow undue broadcast, why will you who can hardly fast and pray expose God’s plans to your adversaries, why do you go about spilling the plans of God for your life to all and sundry?

A mother hen incubates her eggs before they are hatched and remember that she is more aggressive at this time than when the chicks are out.

God means well for you now and in the future, please take heed……opolopo alangba ni o da nu de ile, a ko mo eyi ti inu nrun (this is a Yoruba adage).

Are you prepared for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ? He will surely come?
