BE DETERMINED TO WALK IN GOD’S PLANS IN 2014

Calvary greetings in Jesus name.
Many
a time human beings are entangled in their greed, which comprises of lust of
the eyes, lust of the flesh and love of this world.
This
I believe was the pursuit of the young man in our bible reference, which some
bible commentaries called a ‘scavenger’ or in our local parlance can be called
an ‘area boy’. This man, came to King David with a concocted lie that he believed
was going to make David elated and very positive that he was going to be
rewarded.
Remember,
David had opportunities to kill his ‘enemy’ King Saul but his conscience and
training to respect God’s anointing and the anointed did not allow him to.
Rather, he said, ‘’how can I kill the Lord’s anointed’ – I Sam 24: 1-end.
As
a Christian, do you climb the ladder of success destroying your colleagues
before your management team; are you so power drunk that you do not care who
you step on to climb the ladder of success? Do you deceive your leader with the
intention of getting some favour?
If
this is your strategy, please be assured that you will end up like this ‘area
boy’ sooner or later. It is a just a question of time – I Sam 26:10.
‘’Every
day is for the thief, but one day is for the owner’’.
My advice:
1. Be
determined to trust God to climb your success ladder;
2. Be determined to pursue only God’s
plans for your life;
3. Be determined not to ‘help’
yourself. Abraham did and we all at the receiving end today.
Be prepared
for the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will surely come.
